Weekly Alluviance #36: The very next step
YOUR WEEKLY DOSE OF ALLUVIANCE!

The best sales professionals become masters of locking down next steps. It's vital to our survival. And yet...

We often have difficulty seeing the very next step in our own personal and professional life.

Sometimes it's easier to see the path 3, 5 or 10 years down the road, but the most immediate next step on the journey might be unclear.

I'm going to share the secret that a friend and mentor shared with me many years ago that has served me well over and over again.

When the path ahead is unclear or not yet fully revealed, take the most immediate next step. It could be any step really. And then stop. Determine if that step took you closer towards your vision. Recalibrate. And step again.

Take a step > assess > check for alignment > recalibrate > step again

It really can be that simple.

This process works particularly well when feeling overwhelm, decision fatigue or analysis paralysis. But I know nothing about those things 😜

Now you all have got me curious. What is the very next step that you are taking to bring you closer to your vision? Drop me a reply with what you're cooking up.
