To kickoff our Aspire Immersion this weekend, we're going to dig into a mastery level practice. Oh, and I swear the subject line isn't just funny clickbait 😜
We've recently been dissecting what it takes to be a modern day master (check Part 1 and Part 2 for more). The short version is that society and our roles as sales professionals present some unique challenges when it comes to mastery.
So today, we're going to give you a next level, yet super simple morning practice to help you on your path.
What is the first thing you do when you wake up each morning?
Are you starting your day with peace and calm? Or, like so many of us these days, do you reach straight for that portable electronic device that provides you with a fresh batch of chaos to start your morning?
When you first open your eyes, you mind is already in peak chaos for the day. Where am I? What time is it? Am I late? What should I wear? What is every single thing I have to do today in chronological order?
One mastery level practice, inspired by our favorite former Buddhist monk Rob Renahan who is joining us this weekend, is to start your morning by making your bed. Before you do anything, make your bed. Each and every morning. As a practice of mindfulness. But don't just make it. Make it with intention.
In case you're wondering how far Rob goes
