Your weekly dose of Alluviance!
You’ve read enough books. You’ve listened to plenty of podcasts. You’ve had your "aha!" moment.
And yet. In the heat of the moment. Something else happens.
You know you should stay calm when a deal gets pushed. You know rejection isn’t a verdict on your self-worth.You know you should stop talking and just listen.
The old patterns kick in. The pressure hits, and all that brilliant knowledge flies right out the window.
What the hell is that about?!
It’s called the Embodiment Gap.
It’s the canyon between knowing something in your head and the certainty of feeling it in your bones.
You can read a hundred books on cold plunges. You can watch a dozen videos on the perfect mindset and breathing techniques. You can have a PhD in the biological processes that will happen in the body.
But until you jump in the freezing water, try to take your first breath, and feel the cold shock on your skin, you don’t know shit about shit.
That’s what’s happening on your sales calls and what is so often overlooked when it comes to the inner game. You’re trying to think your way through an experience that is happening in your body.
Transformation isn’t an intellectual exercise. It’s a full-body sport.
It’s about moving wisdom from the bookshelf to your nervous system. It’s about practicing deep listening until it becomes your default, not your afterthought. It’s about experiencing a moment of real connection so deeply that it becomes the new standard you refuse to live without.
Knowledge is the map. Embodiment is walking the territory.
Stop just collecting maps.
It’s time to start walking. |

Every week, I hear some version of the same story:Someone’s done tons of talk therapy or logged hundreds of hours of meditating.... yet they still feel stuck in old patterns they can’t seem to shift.
