Weekly Alluviance #38: Let It Go

YOUR WEEKLY DOSE OF ALLUVIANCE!

Ever wonder why sales can be so streaky?

Sometimes, everything we touch turns to gold and we knock every opportunity out of the park. And other times, it feels impossible to lock down even the smallest of wins.

If you've been following along at home, you know what's coming... This is purely an inner game thing.

Your skills and experience don't magically disappear and re-appear. It has nothing to do with the people on the other side of the table. It's all you. More specifically, it's all happening inside that skull of yours.

Here's a quick reminder to help you fully bring it to each and every opportunity that comes your way:

LET THAT SHIT GO!!

You'd be amazed at how many times this comes up when I'm coaching someone. We discover that they're holding onto something from days, weeks, or even months ago. They're carrying that dead weight with them onto every call, and oftentimes they don't even realize it.

In the words of Frozen - Let it go!

I promise that you don't have to carry that weight around. You can simply choose to drop it.

Practice gratitude. Journal it out. Create a reframe. Seek outside perspective. There are so many ways to let it go so that you can bring your full self.

Whatever thing you might be holding onto, consider this your invitation to drop that off right now. I'll keep it safe here for you. And if you ever want to pick it back up again for any reason, it'll be here for you.

3. Quote to fuel your Alluviance:

"People have a hard time letting go of their suffering. Out of a fear of the unknown, they prefer suffering that is familiar." – Thich Nhat Hanh

No need to make the process any harder than it already is. Let go of that which no longer serves.
