Weekly Alluviance #6: How Deep Are You Willing To Go?
YOUR WEEKLY DOSE OF ALLUVIANCE!
Let's get right to it - your desire and willingness to go DEEP is your biggest differentiator as a leader.
You go deep with your team and lead from a place of authenticity and vulnerability, or you don't. Either way is fine. But the former will allow you to rise to your highest potential as a leader, and the latter will allow you to be safe at the surface level and achieve mediocrity.
I don't make up the rules.
I only share what I've learned and my experiences along the way. The new wave of rising leadership requires depth of relationships that are out of your comfort zone: depth with your team, with your managers, with your clients and prospects, with your inner circle. This depth was out of my comfort zone when I started, and it's been my practice for the last several years.
Below is a link to a post about how I went super deep with my team along with instructions on how to bring that into your world. This was one of the most powerful meetings of my career, and I think you'll quickly see why.
1. The Rising Leader Podcast:
Finding Balance on the Journey to Success: Striving, Struggling, and Staying Humble with Ian Koniak
Imagine having all the success you ever dreamed of and almost losing it to a selfish pursuit of more.
In a previous episode (don't worry - new episodes return next week), Alex Kremer sat down with Ian Koniak to discuss how to achieve success in all areas of life. Ian shared how a simple shift in his spirituality and integrity changed his mood, identity, and happiness while completely transforming his marriage and relationships.
Ian is a former #1 Enterprise AE at Salesforce and Founder & CEO of Ian Koniak Sales coaching. He helps software Account Executives perform their best by mastering the mindset, habits, and skills needed to perform at the highest level in sales and life. This is a can't miss episode!
Find it on Spotify and Apple Podcast.
2. Featured LinkedIn Post:
I've been in sales leadership for 6 years and last week I had one of the most impactful team meetings of my career. I guarantee this meeting will not just help us drive more revenue, but will make our people more fulfilled in their jobs.
3. Quote to fuel your Alluviance:
“Authenticity means erasing the gap between what you firmly believe inside and what you reveal to the outside world.” – Adam Grant
Leading from authenticity and vulnerability is not easy, and because of that, it really stands out when it's done right. Leaders go first. And when we do, we can invite others into that depth as well.
With Alluviance,
Alex Kremer
