Weekly Alluviance #20: Commitment
YOUR WEEKLY DOSE OF ALLUVIANCE!
I'm feeling particularly spicy today, so hopefully a few of you will find this note catalyzing 🔥
Here's a question for you - What are you committed to?
Seriously though. Stop and think about the answer to that question.
It's okay... I'll wait.
What are you actually committed to right now?
For me, it's about bringing forth the new wave of rising leadership and helping others feel a greater sense of purpose and community in their lives. I do it through my coaching clients, my community at Alluviance, my Head of Sales job at Catalyst, and my friends. And by helping others do that, I'm receiving it myself. It's the main thing I think about each and every single day.
If you're struggling to figure it out, I'd like for you to consider these 4 questions:
What are you dedicating your time, energy and resources to (both inside and outside of work)?
Are you fully present and engaged with your commitments or are they just good "intentions" with you merely going through the motions?
Are your commitments aligned with the vision you have for your highest self and the person you are growing to become?
Do you even have any commitments at all...
If I were to audit your calendar and your journal, would they reflect these commitments or something else entirely?
Be honest with yourself, it's the only way you can course correct.
Here's my request for you today: Let's make it real!
Reply to this email with a word or two about what you are actually committed to in this moment.

I used to think mental health was only for other people.Until it happened to me...On paper everything was a 10 out 10.
3. Quote to fuel your Alluviance:
"There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results." – Ken Blanchard
Thank you for sharing your commitment with me. This type of self inquiry and self honesty is the cornerstone of being an Alluviant Leader.
