Weekly Alluviance #26: The Butterfly Garden
YOUR WEEKLY DOSE OF ALLUVIANCE!
I'm at a loss for words.
This past weekend Alluviance brought together 31 individuals for the Arise Immersion to usher in the new wave of rising leadership, and all of my expectations were completely blown away. Everyone left the weekend with a greater appreciation for what community TRULY means.
We're on to something special, and you all are coming along for the ride 😉
It reminds me of an analogy a friend recently shared with me. "You can spend all your time, energy, and effort frantically trying to catch butterflies with a net. Or you can build a beautiful flower garden that attracts the most wonderful butterflies."
We are building out that magnificent garden, and our Arise Immersion this past weekend was the first step. The people who showed up got to remember who they really are and be a part of TRUE COMMUNITY.
What happened down in Austin opens the door for so many amazing things to come. Our next immersion will be November 10th - 12th in Austin, TX and you can be sure you'll be hearing more about it soon.
And if you want to be the first to know about these new things, you know how to reach me!
1. The Rising Leader Podcast:
Repost: The Journey of a Tech Sales Professional Finding Purpose, Community, and Growth
There's no new episode this week as we had our hands full in Austin. So we'll throw it back to this gem with Alex, Tom, and Clara.
Find it on Spotify and Apple Podcast.
2. Featured LinkedIn Post:
My first 6 months as a sales manager my team meetings SUCKED.I thought my job was to "teach" my reps everything I knew and if you had checked out my talk time ratio on these calls, it hovered around 80%...Yikes.
3. Quote to fuel your Alluviance:
“There is immense power when a group of people with similar interests gets together to work toward the same goals.” – Idowu Koyenikan
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to plan for, discover and get our hands dirty in our beautiful butterfly garden. So much more to come!
